Jumbo Roll or Standard Roll Installation?

Unlike standard rolls, the Installation of Jumbo rolls “Lay and Play” allow immediate access for foot traffic and sporting events to the site. Greenacres have the specialised equipment to complete the project.
Standard rolls can be preferable where access is restricted.

With 33 designated staff members that are involved in production and commercial installation, we are equipped to handle jobs on any scale, as required. All of our staff are highly trained which gives us the flexibility to meet tight deadlines and individual client specific needs. Greenacres Operations Manager Jordan Beck and our Sales Manager Tina Hutton manage the project and installation from tender or brief all the way through the process to turf establishment.

5 Leading technology turf harvesting equipment

Turf is harvested using sophisticated Robotic Harvesters ‘on’ the day of delivery, ensuring the turf is in premium condition for installation. Greenacres has the advantage of being the only turf farm with three ‘Floating Head’ Harvesters on the one site. The ‘Floating Cutter Head’ has the unique ability to follow ground contours precisely to ensure a uniform roll is cut every time, at the desired thickness. Up to 1000m²/hour can be harvested simultaneously.

6 High capacity turf laying equipment

Greenacres Turf Group owns 2 Magnum Turf Layers which together with our experienced operators can lay up to 4000m² a day of Jumbo Turf rolls. These machines are versatile with a pallet transport system, final trim levelling and roller attachments for final compaction of turf. These machines are easily transportable and can be lifted onto our semi-trailers with our mounted forklifts. Currently over $2.5 million dollars has been invested in capital machinery for both harvesting and turf laying.

7 Full in-house turf delivery systems

Greenacres Turf Group owns and operates its own fleet of trucks and forklifts; our service is consistently of a high standard will all our drivers being direct employees of Greenacres Turf Group. Five fully equipped semi-trailers with forklifts (pay load of 1100m2 each), are complemented by a six wheel truck. There is also the ability of achieving two deliveries per truck per day. An impressive ‘in house’ delivery capability of 11,000m².
