Due to pending the retirement of a valued staff member, Greenacres Turf Group now has the position of Yardman / Customer Service Production available.
The role of the Yardman is to assist with the day-to-day smooth running of customer order collection at the Serpentine farm as well as stocking turf products and maintenance of displays. This position is an “all-rounder” role which supports the day-to-day work on the farm, requiring a reasonable level of fitness and energy. It is expected that the incumbent of this position undertakes other reasonable duties and tasks as requested by their supervisor, within their capabilities, including additional duties as required.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work as part of a team to ensure a positive customer experience through the collection/loading of turf and products at the Serpentine farm.
Operate equipment and machinery as required eg. forklift, mowers.
Liaise with Production Manager and ensure Display areas are well maintained.
Support transport drivers with loading/unloading of turf pallets.
Maintain stock levels of turf maintenance products.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential:
Physically fit and able to work in most weather conditions.
Hold an unrestricted C-class driver’s licence.
Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Desirable:
Turf maintenance experience.
Tractor with implements and/or machinery operation
Forklift Ticket
Valid First Aid accreditation or willingness to obtain.

Pay rate will be determined on qualifications, skills and experience.

Due to recent expansion at Greenacres Turf Group the position of Team Leader – Commercial Division has become available.
The Team Leader of the Commercial Division plays a key role in the installation of turf for our clients. The functions of this role include ensuring the Commercial Team works together to a high standard and assisting the Commercial Manager in completing offsite jobs.
It is expected that the incumbent of this position will undertake other reasonable duties and tasks requested by their supervisor, within their capabilities, including additional duties as required during periods of absence of other staff.

Liaise with manager and other company divisions as required
Prepare ground and install roll-on turf
Operate equipment and machinery as required
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential:
Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
Hold an unrestricted C-class driver’s license
Flexibility for early starts eg. 5-7am with possible late finishes eg. 3-5pm
Ability to be punctual, work regular hours during the week with overtime where required
An eye for detail and ability to not only lead a team, but to work with the team
Able to work in a team environment
Desirable:
Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or equivalent
HR or HC Driver’s License
Forklift Ticket
Experience in landscaping and/or sports turf management
White Card
Valid First Aid accreditation or willingness to obtain
