Turf Installer – Commercial

Greenacres Turf Group (WA’s largest turf farm) are seeking a vibrant, physically fit and energetic individual to come and join our Commercial Team, on a full time basis.  If you enjoy working outdoors, have a positive attitude and willingness to learn, and feel that you may be up for a new challenge, then we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake site preparation, turf removal, marking out and the installation of jumbo and standard roll turf in accordance with project specifications and Greenacres’ quality standards
• Maintain clean, organized and safe work sites throughout project delivery
• Safely operate, inspect and care for company vehicles, plant, machinery and equipment used in commercial turf installation activities
• Promptly report equipment faults and maintenance requirements
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to casual and less experienced employees while working on site
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve project outcomes
• Represent Greenacres professionally by providing courteous and respectful service to clients, contractors and members of the public
• Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, including the safe use of equipment, chemicals and personal protective equipment
• Identify and report hazards, incidents and near misses in accordance with company procedures

Qualifications, Skills, Licences and Experience

Essential:

• Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions.
• Hold an unrestricted C-class driver’s license.
• White Card
• Ability to be punctual, work regular hours during the week with overtime where required
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• In peak season – Flexibility for early starts eg. 5-7am with possible late finishes eg. 3-5pm

Desirable:

• Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or equivalent
• MR or HR Driver’s License
• Forklift Ticket
• Previous experience in turf laying/landscaping or have experience in other physically demanding positions/outdoors
• Valid First Aid accreditation or willingness to obtain.

Inductions and training provided.

Pay rate is a guide only and will be determined on qualifications, skills and experience.
