Yardman / Customer Service Production

Due to pending the retirement of a valued staff member, Greenacres Turf Group now has the position of Yardman / Customer Service Production available.

The role of the Yardman is to assist with the day-to-day smooth running of customer order collection at the Serpentine farm as well as stocking turf products and maintenance of displays. This position is an “all-rounder” role which supports the day-to-day work on the farm, requiring a reasonable level of fitness and energy. It is expected that the incumbent of this position undertakes other reasonable duties and tasks as requested by their supervisor, within their capabilities, including additional duties as required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to ensure a positive customer experience through the collection/loading of turf and products at the Serpentine farm.
• Operate equipment and machinery as required eg. forklift, mowers.
• Liaise with Production Manager and ensure Display areas are well maintained.
• Support transport drivers with loading/unloading of turf pallets.
• Maintain stock levels of turf maintenance products.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Physically fit and able to work in most weather conditions.
• Hold an unrestricted C-class driver’s licence.
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Desirable:

• Turf maintenance experience.
• Tractor with implements and/or machinery operation
• Forklift Ticket
• Valid First Aid accreditation or willingness to obtain.

Inductions and training provided.

Pay rate will be determined on qualifications, skills and experience.
Currently a Part-time position, including a Saturday Roster, however an opportunity may be available for a Full-time position for suitable candidate.
