Agricultural Mechanic / Farm Workshop

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repairs including servicing, diagnose and repair tractors, harvesters, forklifts, and small engines
• Maintenance of Truck Fleet including Light Rigid, Heavy Rigid & Heavy Combination Trucks
• Maintain irrigation pumps and systems
• Service spray units and hydraulic systems
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
• Mentoring x2 Apprentices (1^st & 4^th year) with daily tasks

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Trade qualification (Certificate III or similar)
• Experience as a Mechanic in Agricultural or Turf Industry
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Ability to diagnose and repair faults
• Current WA Driver’s Licence

Desirable:

• Experience with turf harvesting equipment
• Welding and fabrication skills
• Current WA Forklift Ticket

Pay rate will be determined on qualifications, skills and experience.
